At this beautiful summerevening, the Rolling Stones had planned to give a concert in Amsterdam ArenA (football stadion AJAX)and it would also be live at radio and TV (RTL4)at 22.40 till 0.45.(English time 1 hour later).

Mick Jagger seems to have "a sore throat" , but the real reason appears to be, that they don't like a live-TV registration, afraid, that some of us might see a wooden leg and some toupets, etc. at stage.

I suddenly can see at this moment 17th century warships leaving Amsterdam all the way to London and Dutch bombers are flying high to the Western Sky..........

So a real North Sea spectacle is to be expected between the Netherlands and the Islanders.........................

Watch our steps!!!!!!!!

Hi there -- glad to have you here on h2g2!

If you'll look at the top of this page, you'll see that this is the forum for talking *about* h2g2 -- it's not a place where you'll get a lot of interesting responses about other subjects, like the Rolling Stones.

If you want to hear what other people think about the incident, you could try posting your message at places like askh2g2 or miscchat. If you look around, I believe there are even places just for discussing music -- like A1014247.

Hmm, seems to become more and more of us new people here. Well, RS should have thought over this. Wooden legs are cool, so the band's reputation will probably increase among the youth. We'll see what happens now...
