The sunny thing came out around 3pm today , took us by surprise , poking behind all that cloud. We had to stay for another to enjoy it
The sun is out now. Perfect timing. Later we'll have rain - when we have to be inside watching Denmark beat Portugal anyway. Perfect timing!

It did it again today, we went to our usual local pub and on sitting outside, the old sunny thing came out again . Does this mean , that if our summer is to be sunny , we will have to spend more time at the local pub?

of course it does mean you should spend more time at your local pub, Winternights !! Think of all the good you can do there: save the summer for UK, (which by the way automatically means you save a few polar bears .. holistic approach of weather, forecasts and everything), support your local pub, strengthen the community spirit, support your favourite beer brewer, and (bonus) have a few s
so there off you go, , and do tell us of the results
Indeed. Sounds like a sound plan

Yes we , had a few ’s but inside, weather wasn’t too bad on Sunday, kind of recovered itself a bit.
We went out for a meal nearer my old haunting ground and then returned home , got rid of the car and walked to the local.
We spent the rest of the afternoon ,pottering around the garden, dead heading the and sank a few G&T’s on the patio before retiring to the old bed, quick read of the then
All very civilised, hey what what
We watched Tom Kristensen finish 2nd in Le Mans for the first time (he's been #1 eight times and #3 three times), but at least he made it to the podium again.
Then we watched my German team win 2-1 over my Danish team, who fought brilliantly but nowhere as brilliantly as the Germans.
If only the Netherlands had fought like a team they might have beat Portugal, thus keeping Denmark in the race, but alas...
Oh well, now my German team has to fight Greece. Should be interesting

ah yes, there was the football as well
the Dutch team had a few good people in it .. and if it'd be an indivudual sport then they might have had some successes. Football however appears to be a team sport, much to the surprise of most Dutch.
Now all Dutch supermarkets are whining and complaining .. they have tons of orange gadgets that are useless and the sales of will drop dramatically.. I'll try to help them with the
Drop dramatically
Don't you people have a tradition for drowning your sorrows and misery in ?
