for months now, i have been doing a guide for a lady ive known for a few years, nikita. - she went to visit another part of china, from where she lived. - and sent me photos to add to the journal, along the way. - these are the converted to links,of the photos.i have the original sets on my hotmail. - A57124866 - i think i and others thought she would be sending, the, run of the mill, photos of china. by as you can see from the guide ive done, they are wonderfull, and well thought out. - it would be a shame to let them just stay on a guide, or my journal.im not able to do as a guide entry, only ever did one, and needed help all the way through. - i could enter as a page for thepost, but as links, unless its possible to blob them, and you could also keep for anyone to use for the edited entries connected with china, or the subject they are, ie landscapes, jim
Well, there certainly are many people who want their pictures on hootoo,l but I fear we're only meant to take pictures for the EG. If you write a guide Entry and it goes to the Edited Guide you can maybe propose a picture...
hi - i dont think you got the gist i was meaning. - they are already part of h2, in a journal, and on a guide, but as links to my personal tinypic site. - i have them on my hotmail,as photos/pics, if you want them for eg,s, to keep for anyone that does a eg, about china, or even landscapes, they would be there for use. - maybe later i will probably send the guide to see if it will be acsepted on thepost. - so if you want the originals, to store for future use, my jimcracker7 hotmail is on my ps. jim
We have several entries on Tibet. I'm sure that landscape would grace on of them
hi gb - i know nikita would be honoured if the photo or photos are used in eg, as i said they arnt what we call, run of the mill. - if its not possible from the guide entry i did to lift the image from the tinypic, i have them all on my jimcracker7 hotmail. jim - ps i still have the ones of buildings in bradford as well.
I believe she would have to be a Researcher to allow h2g2 to use her photos, because in signing up you give the BBC a perpetual license to blahdiblah. I don't think we can use photos that have been taken by friends who are not Researchers. I may be wrong.
As far as The Post goes, I don't think we'd run a photomontage without accompanying text - we prefer travel photos in a travelogue form as you find in Phred's series at A10288406 - although we're always open to ideas!
hi - no`problem on having the photos, nikita is a researcher, but asnt been on much as she had a shop, then had work out of her town, and the travels in part of china the photos are from. - you will find her on my friends list, or at the end of the china journal. she will be sending me some more photos in the next week, jim
Is this her, Jim? U9482660
