David Irving wants to destroy the history of the Holocaust, why? He believes that only by changing history can our reality be changed. Only if he desecrates and questions peoples perceptions of Jews in the past can he change their perception of Jews in the present and the future.

In effect to bring back anti-Semitism he must destory the historical fact of the Holocaust. This is sick, twisted and shows his real right-wing agenda of racism.

People of the world be careful, anti-Semitism is still very much alive. It has just taken other guises - Holocaust denial and Anti-Zionism but if you looked closely it is there under the surface...

Hi there,
this may be the wrong place for such a question, but I always had a problem with the holocaust. To me it seems 2D, nothing can be changed; we know the TRUTH. But what I have learned so far from my humble studies of history is that it is 3D, it depens on the point of view. The holocaust polarizes too much! What is it's reason for being so special? The Germans wiped out a African Tribe in 1904 (Herero), killing about 80% of it's total population. Do we talk about them? During World War two the main burden of casulties had been inflicted on the soviet union. They acctually faught the NAZIS (unlike a lot of jews, if they were able to resist is another matter). The fate of the soviet peoples in the last century is so tragic, do we talk about them? I know people say that the sheer brutality and lack of humanity makes it special, but If a person kills two people in a horrible fashion, is he/she more evil than someone who kills four peole in a "regular" fashion.
I agree that most of the ideas of Irving are rightout crazy, but I think they might give us a chance to reflect on what principles we base our perception and priorities.
If I offended people with what I wrote then I want to say that this is not my intention, I dont't want to take sides, I am just I little confused why the demise of "few"(jews) is sometimes so much more important than that of the "manny" (soviets.)Yes I did oversimplify but this is about the principle. I'd welcome any insides that might add some "contures" to the holocaust.

Yes more Russians were killed than Jews.

However the Nazi intention was not to systematically exterminate them as a race.

I hardly think 6,000,000 is a few do you?

Anti-zionism is not anti-semitism. To object to the further expansion of the state of israel into arab lands is a valid political position to take wether you agree with it or not. anti-semitism is the hatred of a particular racial group and as such not a political position at all. to paint anti-zionism as anti-semitism is a game played by the israeli government to deflect critisism on the basis that noone in europe wants to seem anti-semitic.

Which in turn places the UN, NATO Europe et al in a very difficult position, given the support that the United States gives to Israel, almost as a Larger sibling would watch over a smaller one in the school playground, threatening anyone who would interevene.

The UN has passed many resolutions against the Israeli expansion, and urging a return to the pre 1967 borders, to little avail. I wonder how much the US uses accusations of Anti-Semitism in order to force the UN to back down over this?

Also, some of the most interesting people I have ever met were at an Anti- War demo. They were the young gentlemen from the Anti-Zionist Jewish organisation, I still have their leaflets, they have an optimism and hope that was inspiring.
