Hmm, indeed... I'm pondering my chances of ducking out of work a bit early tomorrow, to duck into the pub and watch Katie Taylor boxing for gold.
It's weird being in the same time zone as the Olympics.
Yeah, that must be odd. I remember getting up at something like 6am in the summer of '68 to catch the last hour or two of the BBC's coverage of the Mexico games, before I headed off to school to spend the day asleep at my desk
I was in Galway yesterday, wandering around in the sudden outbreak of glorious sunshine (Spanish Arch was full of topless guys). At 17:45 I was marching full tilt up Shop Street to get my train home, when roars erupted out of all the pubs. "Ah," I thought, "Katie's done it, so."
