What happened was that the sub-editor asked me a question about it, and then forgot about it. It'll be sent back shortly.
I do hope it is finished soon, although I note no links have been added,
I'll remind Malabarista again in a few weeks.
OK. The subbing burns my fingers, I can't hang onto them undone. I did 2 the other evening, and returned one as I got a reply from the author immediately. I can't return the other as I have queries, but the author hasn't logged in for 4 weeks. What shall I do?
Try and sort it out yourself without the author. Or ask an opinion from another sub. Which entries are they?
well it was this F20106068?thread=8009380&latest=1 but no-one in the PR thread has answered; meanwhile, Alex is online so I might as well wait for his own reply, it's ready to go otherwise
Have you seen today's Google search page?
Yes, the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight
Have you seen how the professional astronomer at APOD has described today's entry? http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap110419.html
Very harmonious all together!
Are you going to London in May, Annie?
At the moment, no, because we can't find a carer for Gordon's mother. But if we do manage to perform a small miracle, we will be there.
That's a nice pic of Nefertiti's bust on the FP. I have applied it to my Nefertiti and the Nefertiti's Bust entry, does it need reporting anywhere?
In the meantime, are we going to see your Orange article grace the FP before h2g2 sinks forever?
You could report it in the Curator Forum if you want. I notice that the eds mis-spelt the name Nefertiti.
I've sent a reminder to Malabarista about finishing the Orange entry.
Malabarista says she made the changes and sent it back to the Eds, but it's still there in the "With Sub-Editor" queue. Some sort of a system problem, apparently.
Well spotted I've reported that at EF and mentioned my commandeering the pic.
Hmm, I haven't had any problems returning entries I've subbed but then I'm still using the old system.
If you're looking for something to do you could add some links to A85981107 - which (again) you left for a sub-ed to do, and again, it wasn't done.
See you later, off to the cinema
Hi GB!
The GeoCities website closed at the end of 2009, and this has left a lot of dead links in our Edited Entries. I'm working my way through them. I'm trying to replace the GeoCities links with appropriate ones, rather than just cutting them out.
One I came across that you might like to tackle is A1141750 How to Make a Boyband. It has six links to geocities: Gary Barlow, Nick Carter, Howard Donald, Shane Lynch, Jason Orange, Kevin Richardson. Would you be able to find good links for those and put them in the Entry?
Thanks,
G
Hi Gnomon, I've done that for you
Thanks, GB!
