Lil's Atelier
Social Life Begins and Ends With Etiquette
physical therapy started in earnest today, and will be going on 5 times a week. Tomorrow I will be put in a wchair (1st time since feb 8) and taken to the gym. Can't wait.
Pastey, you need some greater virtual reward for your Pliny effort than just a backlog exemption pass! We need to think about that.
I have just tried texting from my cell phone. What a fail -- don't have a proper keyboard, so I had to peck numerous times at the number keys to build the message. Very stupid.
I do not miss that method of texting!
I don't think I could go back now I've got used to a touch screen phone.
I do wish though that the user interfaces were designed a little better on most apps though.
Since the 'house mobile' failed a few months back we've been using my old Samsung (think of the type that Agent Gibbs in NCIS still uses). It was *my* phone, many years ago but - I hating texting yesterday about our win, there's no fracking keyboard, I kept saving the buggars instead of deleting a letter...(football)
I *will* be boring you all stupid about this...I'm *so* proud of my *boys*, hacked off to fury about one of our ex-players mind ('nother story, for another place)
Blue moon rising
Sorry, wrong smiley type
We have a football smiley? When did that happen?
Oh yeah, a while ago.
I think I should go back into my code. It's safer in there.

You're never safer than when you have a cup of , unless you are drinking tea somewhere dangerous...

Hey Santra, there's an alternative method to conquering the UK without necessarily having to cross the sea with the longboat and pillaging:

Morning all.
Having a bit of a blah moment when it comes to gaming and what usually works for me is switching to another game whether on- or offline - but it isn't working this time.
I even tried the free trial version of Amnesia (a Swedish horror game) but felt a bit duh even after that.
I think my system needs a hard reboot - anyone know how to accomplish that, in a way doesn't involve indulging in copious amounts of illegal or alcoholic stuff?

So the Telegraph thinks Scandinavians are still Vikings? Well, they've always been a little behind the times.
The pattern of sleep-problems continues. And lemme tell you, sleep-deprivation is a great big motivation-killer. It almost makes me want to go to bed at the same time as *normal* people, instead of going to bed at three AM and getting up around noon.
Glad to hear you're recovering, Lil. Congratulations and commiserations where appropriate.
total sympathy from me about sleep disruption, Yar. Of course it's worse for you than me cos I know just what's to blame -- the nurse who comes to my room at midnight, 3 am and 6 am to reposition me.
OK, has anyone else here actually ~read~ A Game of Thrones? I am on book 2 and completely hooked. Enough that I would look forward to watching the series, especially with the part of Tyrion being played by Peter Dinklage.
I've read the entire series and have watched all of season 1 and the first 2 episodes of season 2. I both love and hate the books. Peter Dinklage is awesome as Tyrion.

Nope, not read it.
(If any Vikings (or anyone else) want to invade England by purchasing a small 2-bed flat with a garden just big enough to contain a shed and a washing line, then my place is up for sale. )

I'm into book 3 and have seen the first TV episode. After having failed to get off at the right tube station twice, I'm now more careful about getting completely emerged. And book one was such a brick (physcially) that I finally got around to getting myself an e-book reader.
Can you all believe that it has already been three years since J and I tied the knot?
Already?
3? Years? No, that cannot be possible *runs a reality check*
How come *my perception of time passed is so different from actual time passed?
Most days it seems like it happened just a few short weeks ago, today that is especially true! est decision I ever made!
