Hi everyone. Just installed broadband access with Wanadoo. They have provided a free modem (Speedtouch) which installed no problem. I plugged the beast into my 7 port usb hub(Belkin) and after a couple of days the modem would click and switch itself off. Unplugging and reconnecting it to the usb hub restarted it and kept it going for a half hour or so. Do any of you know of problems like this please?? I have, since then, plugged it into a spare usb socket in the back of my pc and (touch wood) it seems to have settled down. Does any of this make sense?? Anyone who takes the trouble to reply, please remember that I am a 55 yearold technical dummy. Thanks.
