Sorry to ask that question here... But I would like to know what words I have to censor out of my Entries. Please brief me in in the new censorship, political correctness guidelines, a lot has changed (to the worse, I am afraid) since I've last been here (a year ago).

It seems to be the missing word from this sentence (which the filter also wouldn't let me post):
"Tracks 7 and 8 Tryin' to Grow a Chin and Broken Hearts are for <insert banned word here> are more straightforward rock-type songs"

Yep, it's a matter of trial and error. Copy half of the entry to your clipboard with the 'cut' command and try to update it. If it won't let you, you know the bad word is in that half of the entry so you cut half of it again and try to update once more. If the filter does let you update the entry, then you know the bad word isn't in that half so you hit the edit entry button and paste the clipboard into the text box, then cut half of it and try update again. Keep doing that and eventually you'll get the content down to a small enough size that any likely infringements will become apparent. It has to be said though that some of the forbidden words are really quite dubious and spurious and obscure, especially to non-native English speakers, so you might have to get right down to one word.
The Editors will not publish a list of the words that are banned. Being a fluent English speaker but not a native of the UK, I've been caught out a few times with words that I didn't know were offensive.

Hmmm... Not sure if I *like* being back with an automated censor on-site.
What do I do? It's the song's **cking title, for **ck's sake!

I changed the highly offending word to "censor-holes" which is a lot less offending.

PS: I am thinking about staying out of here for a longer time. Censorship really p's me off.

If the potentially-offensive word is justified (which, in this case, I believe it is), the Editors are able to put it back in to edited Entries, I think. I might be wrong, though.
You're right, David. The Editors can type profanity to their heart's content. But there's no point in putting a word which is rejected by the filter into one of your own entries, because you won't be able to save it.
There's a way around the profanity filter in Entries. I can't remember it at the moment, but I'll find the details if anybody is interested. Don't tell anyone I told you.
It's the same as in real life - if you're an 'artist' and you can claim 'artistic integrity' then you can say what you like and get away with it and woe betide anyone who tries to 'censor' your efforts, but if you're part of the unwashed masses, the bad smell beneath the nose, you can't do the same thing.

You see, the vast majority of the people out there doesn't think that they will fry in hell if they use or read a word like "the hole from whence cometh the excrements". The gratuitious use of the word may be frowned upon, but hey, some people have bad taste. Despite this most people are tolerant.
I feel, this process is like having all males castrated because of the potential peril of child abuse. But let me stop here...
