I can't give you the phone number for the UK because it is automatically showing me the one for my country, but you should get the correct one if you click on the link above.
It's ok, I am not about to top myself, although if they won't give me any ESA money I might!
(Don't panic, just joking, it's Gallows humour!)
I do hope you'll get the money soon.
It does seem to be something that is not working particularly well in your country, I know of at least two friends who are having serious problems to get the money they're due in time. I wonder just how those lazy bureaucrats think the people depending on ESA will survive a month or more on nothing.
For those who might come across this thread and be interested in more info, this Guide Entry is quite good~
Thank you very much for the link.
I am not one who thinks people who self harm are mad, or who think it is revolting. I am one of those who feel the pain, and all the more so knowing I, a total stranger, can't help.
This was most interesting:
>>Self-injury in itself can be addictive, and is often seen as a way of taking control over something when you can't seem to control anything else. <<
Yes, like me stopping to eat then. Not starving myself, but still not healthy.
What I objected to, and I stand by that, is the thread you posted it to. I don't think an open thread like that is the right place.
Yes, you should seek support, but you are taking great risks if you do that in an 'unsafe' environment like the WJH threads, where newbies drop in all the time. (I'm not new to the thread, I just haven't posted there for a long while).
Weight control is very much a self harm, I binged on food for 6 months before everything went pear shaped, literally with my weight, lol, and my weight shot up. My choleterol was at danger level.
I understand that some Anorexics starve as controling their weight is sometimes all they have left to control when their life spirals out of control.
Yes, and it's mentioned in the entry, too.
