I went and saw Seal a few weeks ago at The Shepherd's Bush Empire. He was saying he'd met Obama in the weeks prior to the gig and was excited for the first time in ages that there was a fresh wind blowing through world politics.

The time of waiting is almost over. I just hope I'm not on night shift when they're counting the votes. It'll be the same thing on the news all night.

The thing that makes me grin (not) is that the BBC claim their web site is updated every minute - so why do they show all the same news all day and all night repeated every half an hour or so?

Well it's all over now, all we have to wait for is George Dub Yah to move out in the new year and we'll see if the man can live up to everyone's hopes....
