I just got a bass guitar and when i'm not playing or working on my movies I love to fly scheduled flights on flight simulator(have a problem with my start time)Lucky star(my mum) told me about you,had a look at your space and decided to leave a message
What does a flight sim MECHANIC do?
I don't know what a flight sim mechanic does - I'm a flight simulator maintenance engineer!! Probably about £30 000 less a year than me!!

That was a bit flippant. There aren't any Mechanics - as far as I'm aware - in th UK, we're all classed as engineers.
When I was in the RAF, we had mechanics brought into the trade at a lower skill level.
Basically, I fix the flight sims we have at our facility, just up the road from Heathrow airport, when they go wrong. I also prepare them for the flight crews to use and carry out modifications and preventative maintenance where necessary.
I work on:
Visual, hydraulic, computer, interface, sound, and lighting systems, plus assisting flight crews and regulatory authorities (namely the CAA)

dosen't matter now,my dad told me on the phone how to do it,but thanks anyway
Sorry (again),
I didn't read your entry as a request for help. As it happens, I wouldn't have been able to help you, as I don't do PC based flight simulators. I don't do the fairground ride "Simulators" either, they're somewhat overshadowed by the machines I work on.
