Having come home from that place I laughingly call work and with great anticipation I log on to here.
Now you must understand that 5 days a week I work in a School and am having my head blagged for eight hours a day by TEENAGERS!!!!
It's ok no need to hide theres none here sorry didn't mean to scare you. So I thinks to myself wouldn't it be nice to have a wonderfully sparkly page with 'stuff' on it, like the ACEy type person who dropped by (sorry can't remember their name ), so I took their advice and read all about Guide ML.
WELL thats definatly not for the faint of heart! I had to go get myself a cup of tea! I'll probably have to go lay down in a darkened room after all that!
(whispers) makes me wonder if they realise old people like me use this site
That depends on what you mean by old
I've been here for several years and my GuideML is still crepe.
Welcome to the madhouse.
Mags
I cheated by copy and pasting
Well, I write code for a living, so I'm fairly at home with GuideML. I'll admit I don't use it much, because I don't do much writing here (well, except in the conversations, but that doesn't count).
But I can probably answer questions if you're stuck.

Well I've copy and pasted the colour thing so I'm not really sure how it works. for example could I have a two tone page and if so how would that work?
What do you mean by two-tone? Two different areas of different colours? Yes, that's certainly possible. (In fact, I see you've already done it.)
You do have to be careful when messing with colours, though.
U14996047?skin=brunel U14996047?skin=plain U14996047?skin=alabaster U14996047?skin=classic
The whole way skins are done is currently being rebuilt, but for the moment, there are four skins, and they have different colours. So when you define coloured areas, they may work differently in different skins. Safest bet: if you define any colours at all, define all of them.
Brunel and Alabaster have light backgrounds and dark text. Classic Goo has a dark background and light text. On you're PS, you've changed the background to light colours, but haven't changed the colour of the text itself. That's fine on Brunel and Alabaster: the text is dark. But in Classic Goo you now have light text on a light background, and it's unreadable. You may want to tweak that.
You can also change the colour of the borders of your PS in the Brunel skin: See GuideML-BRUNEL and F113579?thread=3166903. (See also my PS, where I've put comments in explaining what the various bits do.)
Incidentally, I see you have <VIEWER> </VIEWER> tags. It's simpler, for tags like this, to self-close the tag, thus: <VIEWER/>. A21269207.

Now that sounds really complicated
