I've experienced something along the lines of what you're talking about, but i'm not really sure, itwas just freaky. I've had the Manic Street Preachers album Generation Terrrorists for a few years, and until a few months ago, whenever i read the lyrics in the album sleeve, the chorus to the song Slash And Burn appeared to read:
"Slash and Burn
Kill to live, kill for kicks
Slash and Burn
Kill to live"
I could tell from listening to the record that this wasnt what was being sung, but i couldnt make out what it was, until i read the sleeve, which i had done many times before, suddenly it read:
"Slash and Burn
Kill to live, kill for kicks
Third world to the first
Kill to live"
If any of you have any insight into this kind of thing, please reply to this as it is freaking me out big time.

I had a similar reality-redefining experience, quite a few years ago. I don't remember the exact details, but something I had known for years to be a certain way, was one day suddenly another. Everyone I asked said it has always been that way (the new way). Incredibly disturbing.

Oh, I just remembered: A playground slide which was once on one side of the playground inexplicably ended up on the other.

I also just remembered that this is an old thread...

Besides remembering what you dreamt about, how much control have you ever had in dreams? I find that I can pull objects towards me and even hypnotise people into doing whatever I tell them to!

On one particularly memorable occasion I didn't like the look of a dark, urban landscape, so managed to change the entire ground beneath me into grass and make the sun come out? Weird, eh?

For those above that find they quickly wake up on realising they are asleep the trick is not to get too excited by it all. If anything, start by just realising you're asleep, not trying to do anything and just seeing what happens.
In terms of scary dreams i.e people are after me, etc, what you start to realise is that noone or thing can hurt you - after a dream like that you're bound to have a damn good day ahead!

Finally anyone dreamt that they're sharing a dream with a friend, i.e "It seems like one or more of us is dreaming"?

Well, happy dreaming people, and I as I read in a book once - We spend 1/3 of our lives asleep - why not have fun whilst we're there!

PS - If you haven't seen it yet, Vanilla Sky is a weird but interesting film with stuff about lucid dreaming. I saw it last year, shouted "Tech Support" and managed to get some guy in a suit explaining things - all my crazy imagination I know but still good fun!
