This is something we used to do to fill a little time at the end of my old creative writing classes and it really gave us a giggle.
Each person must add one line to make a limerick. In order to keep track and a good momentum going, if you write the line number at the end of your line, the next person will know how far back he/she needs to go. When the person before you has done line 5 then you are free to begin a new one.
For Example : There was a young man from Peru (1) Who went to work on a skidoo (2) he fell off head first (3) he swore and then cursed, (4) and if you don't believe it, it's true! (5)
Rather a poor example I'm afraid, but it was off the top of my head!
I'll start the ball rolling:
There was a fine horse from Dover... (1)

That would be "In a single bound" (4)
