Hi, Helen/cactuscafe.

I thought I'd drop in and say that I hang out in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. I have a feeling that you come from Sussex, too. (Someone once called me a West Sussexian, but I said that sounded like a sexual perversion. blush )

As for writing groups, there's one that calls itself Burgess Hill Poets, but the leader is an elderly lady who believes that poetry has to rhyme, and pens ditties about pretty landscapes.

I'm currently doing the Creative Writing Programme at the University of Sussex, but you might find that kind of thing too prescriptive.

Hullo mvp!

Forgive my lateness of reply! Our computer was in for repairs for days plus we got a laptop so I have to learn all new things which is giving me brain strain choc cake and my typing is going weird.

Lovely to hear from you. I had a feeling that you lived in Burgess Hill. I've never been there but I am deeply psychic.laugh wink wink in my dreams.

Yes, I come from near Herstmonceux originally. We've been living in Devon since the 80s but I go back to Sussex lots to visit my family. I am in love with Eastbourne in fact.

Do you ever go to the h2g2 London meets? It would be good to meet up sometime! Dmitri has my email adress if you ever want to say a poets hullo. What is a poets hullo> I can't find my question mark on this new keyboard. my typing just took a turn. forgive.

University of Sussex eh? good place. Brighton is a whirl isn't it? We go there lots.

I intend to do some more writing on AWW after the Yuletide if I get my brain in order.

Feel free to mail me. Speak soon. Have a splendid Christmas.
