I got a 404 error when following this conversation link from the Barlesque Front Page:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/conversat...n/view/F48888/T8113924/page/last#P0
HN
There are lots of 404 errors in the new system. Just click your Refresh/Reload button to try again until you get the page.
Or maybe not. This may be a genuine problem.

I tried it a couple of times, Gnomon. I even tried it via your ps, just to be sure before complaining here.
Still not working.
The name of the conversation is "Sub-Ed's opinions needed.."
This is a conversation on the Sub-editor's Home Page:
Brunel http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A395697 Barlesque: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/entry/A395697
The link that was on the front page and is not working is:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/conversat...n/view/F48888/T8113924/page/last#P0
The link on the sub-editors page works, and is as follows:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/entry/A39...7/conversation/view/F48888/T8113924
So is the problem that the link is in the wrong format, without the "entry" section, or should it work like that?
Changing it to the other form for conversations:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/forum/F48888/thread/T8113924
it redirects to this:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/conversation/view/F48888/T8113924/page/1
and then fails.
Other links on the front page are in the forum/Fxxxx/thread/Txxxx format, but are redirected to correctly formatted urls.
So there is something about this conversation that prevents the link:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/forum/F48888/thread/T8113924
being translated to the correct format.
Hi all. We'll look into this. As you say, there is nothing wrong with the direct url http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/entry/A39...7/conversation/view/F48888/T8113924 when followed from the Entry. But the error comes when the conversation appears in the On the Forums box on the homepage. We'll try to replicate this in test (might be tricky as this just seems to be affecting this live thread) and investigate. Cheers
