Its a boneless pork chop. I had the other pork chop last night, done in the oven, served with homemade oven skin-on chunky giant chips, and with some relaly rich home made beef and onion, and parsley gravey (kind of the stock left over from teh beef stew the other night). Tonight I have to eat this the second of the two pork chops, but fancy doing something differnet. Something spicey? dice it up, coconut milk, chillies, paprica cumin, coridna lemon juice, onion, mushroom?

Dead easy recipe (if you can find the green peppercorns)
Mix up sugar and green peppercorns crush together to make a bit of a paste (if dried peppercorns add some olive oil).
Spread over chops both sides. Leave for a bit. Then just fry in a pan til ready. Sugar does melt and brown.
Have with green cabbage sliced into long strips sweated down with onion in butter also in long strips(the onion not the butter) once both are soft add chives and soy sauce.
Have with potatoes (possibly roasted/baked coverd in cumin seeds)
Nice. You could also just fry it and then make a sauce by blending some tinned pineapple, sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, soya sauce ... it's like a sweet and sour sauce. Pour it on to heat after the chop's done through. If you can, thicken the sauce with cornflour or whatever you usually use.
Cook some rice while that's doing.
HOpe this arrives on time.
Don't have any tined pineapple wonder if I could use the lemon juice instead? wouldn't be quite the same result obviously I'm still temped with the idea of cutting it into diced cubes, and frying with onion and the mushroom, and then some spices and the lemon juice, maybe some cloves and soya suace, with rice Its more to get me away from having it with potato as thats what I did last night

Why did I just know it was you, 2legs......????
Why not just do it Greek style olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, thyme, bit of black pepper, mix it all up, coat the chop -grill.
I'm having gammon steak with peppers stuffed with feta.....
sounds good I was thinking, you see, that I fancy something quite spicey, though I'm not so sure now
It's the pineapple that makes the sweet part of the sweet and sour sauce. You could replace it with an apple, or with just pineapple, apple or orange juice, but no guarantees as I've never tried them out.

1) Grill both sides and top with as much apple sauce and mature cheddar as you can. Whack it back under the grill for the cheese to melt.
2) Marinade in lemon juice and thyme for an hour. Grill and serve with pesto. Tastier than it sounds.

Next time I'm in England I'm going to invite myself to Master B's and Odo's - that sounded delicious

TC - you are more than welcome.
(Just don't ask Odo to cook. Unless you want her famous paprika chicken)

Chop it up and fry it in a pan along with some diced red pepper, onions, pineapple pieces, maybe some mushrooms. And then have it with noodles. That's what I did last night with mine. And a premade sauce

You could eat it.
I'm sure it's late enough now to ask: what did you do with it? And was it nice?
Mmm porkchop Now you've made me hungry. Oh, well, it's midnight - perfect time for a snack!

Hey 2legs, I hope you're saving all these great recipies, from all the different Ask h2g2 threads into Word, you'll soon have enough to produce a great recipe book, and make your fortune.
Emmily
Given its age now - assuming you're still dithering - I'd suggest grilling it in Calvados, and serving with an apple sauce, some julliene carrots and a few petit pois on a bed of rice.
Actually, I'm tempted to put together all the suggestion in this thread, crediting you all obviously, into an entry on 'things to do with a pork chop' or some such thing Watja recon?
aaaaargh - he lured us into a trap. We've written an entry for him!
There WAS NO pork chop!?!?
