The Catholic Church is sending special investigators to Ireland to sort out the problems in the Irish Church.
No, they're not being sent to clean out pedophile priests . . .
they're being sent 'to clamp down on liberal secular opinion in an intensive drive to re-impose traditional respect for clergy'
http://www.independent.ie/national-...own-on-liberal-opinion-2210401.html
I always was led to believe that respect was something to be earned, not forced.

more genes linked to autism discovered, and potential for more discoveries to come. Also shows that the number of genes involved is quite large which fits with the individual characteristic of the diagnosis.

"...Interesting Clouds During the Morning of June 7th... Morning Storm System Produces Interesting Clouds."
OK, I haven't gone potty, but that is their headline! New form of cloud called Undulatus asperatus, very rare, only identified in 2009, spotted.
I must say that are some pretty apocalyptic looking clouds, very . And it is kinda cool that even clouds can still introduce us to something new about our world. (</hippy>)

'Taleban hang 7-year-old boy to punish family. . .
A seven-year-old boy was murdered by the Taleban in an apparent act of retribution this week. Afghan officials said that the child was accused of spying for US and Nato forces and hanged from a tree in southern Afghanistan. '
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/ne...orld/afghanistan/article7147378.ece
I find it rather sick (nothing to compare with the sickness of what the Taliban did, of course) that the U.S., Murdoch-owned Faux News chose to use as the headline on their front page: 'Taliban Hang 7-Year-Old 'Spy' in Afghanistan' This wording so completely shifts the emphasis of the story away from what's really happening.
http://www.foxnews.com/
Of course, our side would never hang a seven-year-old -- we just ship fifteen-year-olds off to Gitmo and throw away the key.
