We write using British English here in the Guide. Where you say "Purse", you'll have to translate that into the British English equivalent: "handbag", and reword accordingly.

This makes a quirky short read, but it's not Approved Entry stuff. Why? Because it's not informative - it doesn't tell you anything that you won't already know - so really it's just an attempt at humour. Yes, that's what the fictional Guide in the books was about, but this one's real and the aim is to be readable and factual at the same time.
Darren, I'm putting these short entries of yours on the PR tidy-up list. That means they'll be removed from Peer Review for the time being (because they're not suitable as they stand), but you can access them from your space. If you want to re-write any of them to be more in line with the house style, you can submit them again and we'll take another look.
This is nothing personal, just a clearout we go through every once in a while - the list has things by other authors on it, too.
Don't run off, and do ask us if you'd like any advice on writing entries!
