Hi Kerr, great idea for an entry, it's just that to me it comes across as being, well, the start of an entry. There must be so much more to say about the Munich air crash, at least the names of the players who were killed and a little background.

I know what you mean Z, but I want to keep the focus on the song, not the actual crash. I'll have anothe rlook later today.

Hi KA,

<< ... become a tradition for Manchester United fans to stand at the Munich memorial plaque at their ground [insert a comma here huh ] Old Trafford, and sing the song at the match held closest to the date of the crash. >>

The way I read this, I imagine the entire crowd (1000s of them) huddled around one little plaque silly

Is the plaque permanently fixed or can/do they place it in the centre of the pitch on such occasions?

I'm imagining that if it there's a large crowd, they'd 'look towards' the plaque and sing the song

A v. minor point -
space << The eight dead team members were: >>
might sound better as
space >> The eight team members killed were: <<

Also, I see no problem with the (relatively short) length of this entry, as Jon_m says, it's _concise_ - ie it explains much in very few words, in itself a lesson for many of us ok

Thanks all.

The song was The Wars of Germanie, and according to reports it's a couple of hundred fans that gather under the memorial to sing, I'll update to make it clearer. I'll also tidy up that sentence, six7.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
