The summer constellations are visible again. Out walking the dog last night around 11:30, and Leo with Saturn was beginning to dip, with Libra well clear of the horizon, and rising behind it, Scorpio and the red Antares.

Is it just me, or are the summer constellations a lot less impressive than the winter constellations?
Yes, big patches of mostly empty sky. Libra and Virgo between them have only one bright star!
Of course it doesn't help that the sky is still rather bright even at midnight...

Oh, I'm not complaining - It's about time we had some good weather here!
The leaving cert. has started, so we sghould get a couple of sunny weeks followed by a month of rain...

Yes indeed. When they figure out how to prolong these exams to oooh, September say, all our troubles will be over...
