Hello Unknown Visitor, I think the vertical hold is slipping.
Although Vicki Virago opened my account 30 December, 2003, it was actually towards the end of January, 2004 before I posted anything here.
They were very tentative steps  towards what would become a fantastic journey of self-discovery and awareness for me 
I've laughed and I've cried here so many times over the years.
Pheloxi, TB and Terri, they have left a deep ache in my heart with their passing, but their friendships were  
There have been feuds, flame-wars, love-in's and marriages, and not all of them were rpg's 
I have sat up at nights with my youngsters while they have revised for their exams, supplying endless  and  s, then eventually shooing them to their beds at 2.30am! 
I have made some brilliant and lasting friendships  which have spilled over into my real life...   *hic*
For this, I say "Thank you BBC!" 
Thank you, for the Eds/Italics past and present, for their wise councelling and patience over the years 
Thank you, for the Techs for keeping us online! 
... And finally... Thank you, Nick  Huggers, for selling us out. Without you, we wouldn't have got our Robbie Stamp back!
I told you this was going to be a long goodbye

Tell you what I'd like to see on the new site, Lil: a page which credits all the staff who have contributed to the site over the years. Maybe a short paragraph on each, and a picture if we can get it.
Oh, and when the BBC leave us, we should put up closing credits. Maybe we could have a "You have been watching.." sequence like you get at the end of Dad's Army, with Sam, Zelmo and Nick stumbling along holding rifles?
