U2244396 - that's me, too. Hehe. Look at Fay nicking all the accounts... I've stepped up to the, er, podium? Spotlight? And grasped the cattle by the horns. Never mind.
But yes. Taken over the Magician's Guild. Things should be good. If not, you can blame me now instead of just yourselves! 
Oh, saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie tonight for the first time. What did everyone think?

Me, I quite liked the style of it, but I will TRY not to rant about the sudden romance between Trillian and Arthur. *rolls eyes* trust the movies. Can't have a movie without mention of sex in some way. Ohhhh, no. Pah.
liked the intro... for me it went down hill from the intro... did I meantion I liked the intro
I liked Marvin, oh and seeing the original marvin in the que on vogosphere
It has the best yawn on film ever!

I've found, in my surveys (heh) that mostly, the people who've read the books don't like it, and the people who haven't like it in varying degrees.
I had fun mouthing along with some of the dialogue taken straight from the book, though.

I bought it from Amazon. Mainly to sit on my shelf. But I enjoyed it more second time round than first. Still prefer the books though...
Surely everyone likes the books better!?
 yeah I liked the books better for what it is worth
Zaphod in the film was just... wrong!  Mavin was brilliant though and Alan Rickman was just perfect as his voice
I didn't like Zaphod either...Alan Rickman's fantastic but I thought Marvin looked a bit...odd!

I still don't like the casting (or the whole portable scenery role) for Ford, and quite probably never will.
Mmm, me neither. He's American. It was never going to work.
It's true.  I tried the benefit of the doubt...and he was funny...but not Ford.

I liked it enough! Especially the intro... somwhere around here I have a link to a website with a flash movie of the intro song... its addictive!
But yeah, it didn't get close to living up to the book!

It was ok but not the best film I have seen... enjoyable for the most part and that is someone who has read the book but did not think it was the greatest thing since sliced bread!!!!

I didn't not like just one in a large category of read once, won't read again and it was ok... not something I would rave about but more enjoyable than a lot I have read....
