i'm pretty sure its a video. not just audio... so i'm afriad you'll probably have to find a video player.... at least i was under the impression it was like that.... cant you just put it in your computer and see which way it comes up?

...ok.... its an avi file on a data cd. so it will play on your computer, it is a movie.... you dont have to get a dvd player or anything.

he told me that it would play on your computer. i think if its an avi file it wont play in a dvd player. but then again i have no idea at all. perhaps it will. i know that some dvd's i've burned will play in my dvd player but not in my parents... so it may depend.... sorry to not be more helpful...
Well it's not a DVD, so it definitely won't work in a DVD player. It's computer only.
Probably the reason you can't see the video is because you don't have the right video codec on your computer; these are like 'patches' - bits of code which make stuff work properly, basically.
Depending on what you're using to view the movie it should be able to fix itself. For example if you're using Microsoft Media Player (gee I had to think about what it was called - you can tell I've been away from home for too long recently...) then all you need to do is stay connected to the internet and it will usually try to download the right codec when it discovers it needs one. If it can't find it then you need to look for it though, which is a bit more of a nuisance. If that's the case, try googling for a DivX codec - that's probably what it needs. Actually the program should tell you the name of it automatically.
Have I thoroughly confused you? Again? 'Coz I've almost confused myself at the moment; my brain is so dead from work I'm not even certain that the sentence I'm finishing is the same as the one I started...

because job sends me songs, and then i cant hear them because it says i dont have the lisence... and thats using roxio.... but if i convert it to windows media player will it work for me?
i'll give you his no if you like, if thats ok wiht him.... but i'm not too sure its right... he didnt seem to get eihter of the texts i sent him....
Never used Roxio before. If he's sending you MP3s then you should be able to use just about anything to play them.
If they're not MP3s then what are they? Text me 'coz I gotta go.
