Ah! You all thought I'd forgotten, hadn't you?
Well I didn't. I've been thinking of lots of my hootoo friends over the last four years (grief! Four years?!), and I've missed you all a lot.
I have an internet connection at home now (woo). Which means I don't have to perpetually wonder how much trouble I'd get in for sneaking a posting or two at work...
... looking back, I'm glad I didn't. Not because I didn't want to say hi, because I did, but because this place is SOO addictive. I probably would have been fired within a week for not doing any work.
Right! Update time. First of all, I'm absolutely gutted to come back and find out that Pheloxi's funeral is today. I'm pretty sure Pheloxi's was one of the first names I read when I first joined h2g2, three accounts and nine years ago.  <sniff>
Personal stuff: I'm still with Maree. She's still awesome. We have kids: two boys under two. Their names are Connor and Hunter. Connor's about to be in his first movie (when our friend the producer gets a chance to have a holiday and visit)... "Connor the barbarian". There will likely be a sequel of some kind, probably something about a dragon hunter. I'll let you know if/when they appear on the interweb.
We own a house. I have a new job. Maree finished her degree. She has a new job. We moved house one weekend and started both our new jobs that Monday... /that/ was a fun week. I still haven't finished my degree. Maybe next year.
Whoa! People have turned up. I should say hello. Then I'll go say hi to Arisztid's gap, and continue the rounds from there.

...and I feel guilty for skipping to the end of my own journal conversations without reading the bits in the middle.

Anyway, Met (Arisz) is on vacation and doesn't have an internet connection right now. She probably won't be able to talk to you at all until Monday or Tuesday. Sorry.

Honestly it seems like there is hardly anyone around anymore. This is certainly added incentive to come back. I do love it here.

As it happens it's notoriously hard to catch up with Arisztid anyway; she goes to bed about the same time I get home from work, so unless I take a day off sometime, or I can convince her to ruin her biorhythms for my sake, it'll have to wait until I get a weekend which includes free time somewhere.
Meanwhile... Proxy party! Yeah!

Darn my biorhythm! My plan is to be on tonight... I don't know how long I can stay... we'll see how long I last. I'm just so set I get tired right on time! More reliable than a bus
I'll text you and let you know my plan.... but perhaps tonight you can't even come on. We'll see how it works out.

The great thing about this is we don't all have to be on at the same time.... it just means conversations take awhile...
