I wanted to devote my life to a lady who would cater for my eating. In return we could have babies. I dunno - I thought that's how these things worked? erm

Oh well enough of this glossy-magazine romance jibe. I am going to bed. yawn

T'is the General Election on the morrow. It's like when you were getting a new President. Only not as protracted and half as interesting but twice as depressing.

Clive sleepy

*finally makes an appearance*

*out of breath* Yeesh, you know you're addicted to h2g2 when it takes you an hour to go through your conversations... and you've only been away a few hours... winkeye

Anyway! I don't know Shea, pumpkin isn't exactly my favorite pie in the world... actually, it rather disgusts me. The only way I can stomach it is if I put loads of whipped cream on top... and even then I can't hardly eat it. (Unless it's pumpkin pie made by my grandmother... I don't know what she does to it, but it certainly doesn't taste like pumpkin anymore and is therefore very very good!). My absolute fav is cherry pie, but that's another discussion...

Election? Oh, yes, heard a few things about that... winkeye ... I just hope it's not as drawn out and silly as ours was...

Our elections went smoothly. I guess it must be cause some of us are from the Great White North and live in igloos so no one goes out to vote with the frigid temps and all smiley

They didn't because our Prime Minister won by a landslide in french canada making them virtually unheard. Things in Quebec are even between the english and french making those nutters refrain themselves.

Our elections, last year, were the most predictable and depressing thing ever. All us, lefties, knew we'll lose, and yet- there wasn't much of a difference between the candidates- they both were no good! sadface

Isn't that the case in politics, one has to choose the lesser of two (or more) evils. In the end, no one really wins but the person who was actually elected. It's really sadface

I don't know who said this, but it's true, that a good leader isn't noticed, and when s/he does something good, the people feel like it's their achievement.
It is sadface

There's still plenty of time for our election to become as silly as the US one. There's a new (optional) postal voting system this year, and a BBC reporter managed to register several dead people to vote here in Torbay.
Actually, it's usually quite difficult to tell if somebody's alive in Paignton, the average age is about 98. A bit like Florida, oddly enough....

Old people are everywhere. My co-worker feels that they should have their own time for shopping around xmastree because they are slower than others.
