The wardrobe is indeed a communal home for many things, but it is the style of home which distinguishes the wardrobe. Just as you can have a four bedroom, brick veneer house or a two room shack, so also you can have a built-in, open plan wardrobe, rather than a cupboard with no shelves in it.

Hiding lovers in an open-plan wardrobe is also rather a risky business - it's too easy to see their legs in a setting in which there is no darkness to hide them.

Wardrobes also refer to collections of clothes, and quite how these include old tennis racquets or moths is not an obvious connection. Perhaps there are some adventurous couturiers out there who would like to see people clothed in moths? I await the spring collections with trepidation!

Have you ever wondered why moths, who are nocturnal, immediately head for the nearest source of light when they enter a room? Shurley something wrong here?
