It was quite good, concise yet in depth. Re "New evidence suggests, however, that he was, on occasion, quite egotistical and often exaggerated the role he played in Arab events" I used to have a friend/aquaintance, called Ralph Stevens, who knew Lawrence. They were once on a ship steaming past the Arabian Peninsula when Lawrence turned to Ralph Stevens and, gesturing vaguely at it, said something like "Last time I was here I ruled that whole land."
I say he said something like that as I'm working from memmory and so was Ralph when he told me about it and he was 89 at the time.

I like that anecdote - it made me . It certainly appears as if he had two very different sides to his nature which is why I added the footnote.
