hi, my name is christy and i'm looking to get into the vegetarian circle here. i seem to be a bit of a dope though as i cannot figure out how to sign up and it took me almost an hour to figure out how to get a message to you. but, yea, i finally did. how exciting, and you live really close to me. i'm in lakewood. i haven't seen very many people from the states, actually i haven't really met many people yet as i am new here. anywho, just wanted to say hey to a fellow ohioan and vegetarian!

Hi!

I'm really sorry for taking months to get back to you. For the past couple years I've been too busy to really do h2g2 on a regular basis. The vegetarian society is now being maintained pretty much completely by fords prefect, and my name is staying on mostly as a formality I guess. I do try to drop by whenever I can though, and I'm always excited to see the HVS grow. If you haven't figured out how to join yet, just go to the HVS page http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/u144422 and scroll down to the discussion threads toward the bottom of the page. Click on the one that says "Join the HVS" or something like that and just leave a message introducing yourself and asking to be signed up. Fords will sign you up and the other members will welcome you to the society. That's all there is to it.

It's cool that you live in Lakewood. I'm doing an internship in New York City this semester but when I get back to Kent in January, I'd be happy to meet you some time if you don't think that's creepy or anything. If you want to get in touch again, your best bet is email: mpesa@kent.edu
