dragon princess is heading south for the Holidays and thus is in need of a cat sitter. My suggestion of asking DJ - who usually cat sits for me - was unheard of (sibling rivalry...) so today I took the afternoon off and picked up choc cat and Her Supreme Catesty on my way home.

A significant amount of Alaskan Pollock was prepared yesterday - and tried by Lynx and Leopardess and found palatable. Her Supreme Catesty is very fond of fish so this was considered to be a suitable bribe upon arrival.

choc cat voiced his disapproval of transport all the way home. Poor taxi driver. I think choc cat was quite relieved when the destination was not the Vet's office but the Lair. He jumped out of his transport cage quickly and started to inspect the surroundings. Very soon he found his old favourite spots, tried them properly and started to eat.

Her Supreme Catesty started by loudly telling the other cats who is In Charge and underlined that with the Look. choc cat doesn't bother, but Lynx and especially Leopardess disapprove. The Paw has been in use a couple of times already but I think the fish somewhat smoothed the worst edges.

Lynx is more relaxed now (some three hours later) but Leopardess is not. She doesn't like other cats, Lynx is accepted but not more. She keeps her distance and glares, and I'm not allowed to cuddle her.

Tomorrow it will be worse. Li'lkitty will be dropped off by dragon princess on her way to the airport. Leopardess and Li'lkitty have a ... erm ... complicated relationship... and will fight until blood appears if not kept strictly supervised. There will be chambres separees at night for safety reasons.

Xmas peace or...

dragon

Sounds like a typical family Christmas, then.
