Good plan. Once you ignore all the sexual stuff (if you want to that is, some of it is rather good) the British Queer As Folk is a lovely, traditional set of love notes. Russell T Davies wrote it after he left Manchester and the Canal Street scene (after it nearly killed him, which does add some poignancy) and it really comes through how much he loved the place.

As a former resident of Manchester (you see my old house at one point), I can sympathise.

If you do get a 'puter that can handle TV on Youtube I have another recommendation for you: Misfits. Probably the second-best new British show of the last 5 years at least
