*Hasn't played it, so he can't judge it. But knows inherently that Baldur's is "THE BEST D&D BASED GAME EVER CONCIEVED BY HUMANKIND".*

I have tried Neverwinter nights.

I'd say if one was to give it a 10 on a rating scale youi'd have to give the Baldur's Gate Saga a 50, because not only is BG the best set of games I've ever played, I thought NWN was terrible.

the animation is repititive, the plot is crappy, and you don't get a party(that's the worst part)
And for some reason I got the first expansion for NWN anyway. hmm.

well i'd love to engage in a battle of wits with you, but you appear to be unarmedbiggrin (just kidding) it's not for everyone. but you do get partners in the game. you just have to find them. ok

yes btu you can't control them in the same way... and you only get one rather than five.
I only figured out you could look at there stuff and change it for them near the end of the game(can't you...?). and that might have been the expansion.

Also the radial menu is very annoying.

true, you can't really control them. and the radial munue can be a little odd at first, but when you get used to it, it is more convinient. but in response to the inventory, yes you can control the invevtory, in the expansions.
if you prefer more in depth control, try the Icewind Dale series (the best one is Icewind Dale 2)

Baldur's gate is very similiar to icewind Dale, so I've heard. much of the game engine uses Icewind Dale's, and many of the monsters, and stuff.
You should try BG. especially the sequel though... I would play it but it won't rn on Windows XP!wah

I've been meaning to try Icewind too.

What are you talking about? I've played the entire thing on Windows without any problems whatsoever. Admittedly I'm using Windows ME and not XP, but it doesn't seem like it would make that big a difference.
