B and I returned from our holiday on the Isle of Wight yesterday, and returned as an engaged couple. 
He very gently popped the question over a gorgeous meal at the Four Seasons in Wroxall, amd didn't seem too dissapointed at the answer.
I was rather shocked (wasn't expecting it at all) but very happy to say yes. 
All that remains to be done is to tell the parents.
Oh, and btw we had a great holliday. The weather was perfect, the beaches fairly empty and the sea warm, the crazy golfs as good as we rememberd them, and Amazon World and the Chessel Pottery made for two praticularly enjoyable days out.
Well done dear!!! 
That's one m word out of the way...what about the other m word? 
*performs a teeny dance of joy, despite the funny looks from the co-workers*

I was referring to the two wheeled variety instead of the two legged variety

And is there enough blu-tack to go round?

(I shall now go back to my curmudgeonly old self - why's everyone getting married/engaged at the moment? Has someone put something in the water?)

 That's a relief. There are two M words that scare me - motorbike not being one of them I didn't give it a thought.
I still can't have my two wheels as I've not got anywhere to keep them. B won't stop me when I eventually have somewhere to keep one, although I don't think he'll ever come our for a ride with the <bike> ringers.
You do realise that every house you go to look at, if it has a garage, or somewhere to put a bike, B will put a no no on it don't you

One good thing about selling the house is I am now able to get the bike out easier. Rode over for a family do on sunday, first long run for a while. And it behaved very well. Although I was perhaps pushing it a bit on the A50 but least said, eh? 
You'll get there Odo. And it'll be all the better for the waiting!

It's a boar..bore? however you spell it....it's terribly hard water too
