 I've got a new work computer!!!  It's amazing how much room I've now got to spread even more paper about the place.
Not sure I like the new rat though. 
flat screens are more than  !
rats are (some) policians is rat outfirts!

Will have to have a play with the brightness settings. It's good to have the extra desk space.
 They've taken my little grey optical  away, and replaced it with a roller-balled rat.  Not fair!!!!
probably because it is cheaper...every one is getting opticals
cool! I take it that means no new books for the studnets this year then?

Oh no, I haven't touched the library budget for the new computers we've got coming in. The campus has paid for them out of the emergancy fund - apparently my computer (the machine the library system was running from) was the oldest in the college - which was no mean feat as we've got six campus's and three IT out reach suits in total.
My library budget is ear-marked for a new and highly economical; and environmental friendly I must add; form of transport for the librarian.
Wahey! You got work to buy you a skateboard?

Four wheels!!! No, they couldn't afford that. They've just about run to a whole one - from now on I'm travelling by wheelbarrow.
Awww, here I thought they might be getting you one of those Segway thingies. (http://www.segway.com/) Self-balancing, 2-wheeled, zippy little things.
Optical mice ruuuuuuuuuuule, I'm thinking of getting one.
But not a wireless one, they suck.

All I can offer are the furry and skitterish variety of  ... With the onset of winter, there are a number of the field variety that have moved in to our work-place. They are happy with any tid-bits of food stuff that the 40 or so here drop on a daily business ...

Our tame technician will be back at some point over the next couple of days to install five new machines for the back room, so I'll start protesting for the return of my then.
Rev. I hope you're going to leave some food out for them over the holiday, else they'll get hungry and start nibbling at your wires.
No worries, good lady. There's always something to be found. Clever little critters. Besides, the building won't be empty longer than 3 days at any given time ... Just a trash bag in the coffee room will entertain them well enough.
