I'm on a beach near Harlech. I'm posting to my journal simply because I can. I'm sure I'll find a more legitimate use for wireless technology one day.
Seems a good enough reason to me
For some reason I can't get the BBC Betsie system to work thru this, which would improve the bandwidth use no end ooh and h2g2 doesn't seem to support Betsie either... useless technology
Yes, I've seen someone mention that before, somewhere Oh, well, worse things can, and often do, happen at Woolworths : I've such a poor view of technology, that I'm just supprised when I turn my laptop on and it actually works... : I'm actually getting a desktop computer in teh next few weeks (hopefully); the last time I had a desk top PC it was a 486, 66 mHZ, with 12 MB RAM!: (at that time 8 MB was standard...), It will be nice to have a desk top, as this notion that lap tops can now replace a desk top is laughible, even though thats what I've been doing Oh, I'm rabbiting on again, guess I must be tired
I've got a great computer... at work . Unfortunately my computer at home isn't quite as good, but it has lots of little quirks to make up for it Like turning itself on randomly
<rabbit>
Turning itself on at random! mine sometimes used to turn itself off without warning (and not in relation to teh battery life) : I think all computers are weird, and the work of little pixies
Yeah, I have no explanation for how computer work other than they're populated with many very small pixies scurrying around with your data. Occasionally they take a lunch break or get tired and trip over or something, causing the computer to behave oddly. Oh and of course they get bored and decide to mess around sometimes too
certainly explains a lot.... those funny letters from teh credit card people asking me if I want their* credit card, when I already* have their* credit card and the strange gas bills, which clearly do not* apply to me : all glitches in teh pixi-run-time-environment
It would also explain why my computer freezes every time the cat goes near it.
