The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy - The Adventure Game

A fantastic interactive fiction game from Douglas Adams.

Now a classic, this game still compares favourably to modern titles (except for the graphics - there aren't any).

Play it Online

You can play the game online at the douglasadams.com website

Unfortunately, you will not be able to save your game as you progress. This can get frustrating!

Download the Game

You will need to download:

  1. An interpreter such as WinFrotz
  2. The h2g2 game file

Then unzip them into the same folder and away you go.

Play the Game

You might want to have a look at the h2g2 manual
If you need a hint download the h2g2 invisiclues file and open it with WinFrotz
If you get lost, try the h2g2 map

Do try and solve the problems yourself first though, as that is what makes the game so enjoyable.

Bureaucracy

Another fantastic game by DNA!

Download the Game

You will need to download:

  1. An interpreter such as WinFrotz (if you don't already have one)
  2. The Bureaucracy game file
  3. The Bureaucracy manual (you won't be able to finish the game without it)

Play the Game

If you need a hint download the Bureaucracy invisiclues file and open it with WinFrotz

WinFrotz (c) 1995, 1996 Stefan Jokisch is an interpreter for all Infocom games. It is freeware. It may be used and distributed freely provided no commercial profit is involved. You can also download it from:
