Croydon is a nice place to live. One of the best bits about it is the skyline. Unlike most modern city skylines, its not completly cluttered with skyscrapers. If you look over you can see at the centre of it all the Nestle Headquaters, Taberner house (croydon council offices), the Fairfield halls and the curious hexagonal NLA tower. However, before the Millinemum it was quite dull. Occationaly for Christmas and other events, Taberner house and the Nestle buliding would switch the lights on to make a christmas tree shape or an easter egg. Besides that though it was fairly boring. Then in 2000, as part of the millineum plan, the skyline project was launched. It involved making the skyline much more intersting without the use of more buildings. The Taberner house building has a coulor changing mood light projected onto its walls, the nestle buliding has coulor changing stairs, Fairfield hall has adverts and other things projected onto the side wall. This has made the place even more spectacular and much nicer to look at. The few examples I have listed are only a selection. Come and see for yourself!
