Apparently the Pacific (Latin for Peaceful, Surfer for Great waves, Boater for Oh-my-gosh-I'm-going-to-die) was created when the planet's single natural moon was ejected from the planet. This ocean is occupied by large numbers of interesting species of plants and animals, most of which look as if they may have been from off-planet. The environment in the Pacific is salty, cold and wet, which is a good thing for a large body of water. However, it would be more fun if the part that laps up against the land was a little warmer. Recommended tours: Dana Point Strand beach, Rosarita, and any of the deep parts.
