HI, Pleased to meet you - hope to have lots of interesting conversations. My interests are varied and include Old Peculiar, Hobgoblin and Doombar.
I have 3 'children'. 2 girls and a boy - aged 31, 36 and 41 who mean everything to me.
******************************
Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.
(Ashley Smith)
Try, try and try again That's how the saying goes. And so I'll take it to my heart And will away my woes. And nothing in life will wear me down, And positive thoughts will win. And the challenges that life throws out, Well, I'll take them on the chin! And at the end when I am old And looking to my rest, I'll be at peace with the life I've lived And know I've done my best.

A blackbird watches from his perch
Up in the hawthorn tree,
And as I dig and turn the earth
He waits expectantly.
The sunlight filters through the leaves
And gleams upon his wing,
Yet he remains oblivious
Of the sights and sounds of Spring.
He only sits in silence
As with my spade I toil,
In ardent contemplation
Of a feast upon new soil.
To Mam and Dad Jan 27, 2010
We know that you are here today, Standing, arms entwined. So in love and happy Faces all unlined. Watching us, your children As we come to honour you, Each with special memories Of parents good and true.
All six of us together, The family you made. Our feet have trodden different paths But the tie that binds has stayed. And though our hearts are heavy As around your grave we crowd, We feel your love around us And know we've made you proud.
Goodnight Mam and Dad Till we meet again.

Dandelions and Daisies. Jun 8, 2008
Dandelions and Daisies always make me smile, Although I know that gardeners View them as a trial.
But Dandelion is cheery as his face reflects the sun, And blowing Dandelion clocks Is surreptitious fun.
And pristine little Daisy so charmingly demure, Attracts the bees and butterflies With innocent allure.
So when you're in the garden with your trowel and your hoe, Why not ponder Natures beauty And leave them room to grow.

SPRING May 17, 2007
The gaiety of spring in bloom, The greening of the trees. The heady scent of blossom Drifting on the breeze. A festival of nesting birds Hidden from the eye, Caress the ear with music, Sopranos of the sky. There's beauty in a blade of grass, A raindrop on a leaf. So open up your hearts and minds, And cast out winters grief.
