| | now what? | | Greetings and salutations to all Brits and other fellow wanderers of the galaxy who perchance have stumbled upon this place and time. I haven't the foggiest notion what I'm doing here but I seem to be the first one to have arrived at this particular corner of cyberspace #629049, so I claim this personal space as my own and please feel free to stop by and visit or not as you choose. Friends are always welcome , so are enemies , for without both, I would cease to exist, which I shall someday do anyway.
Besides, a day like this comes around only once every 4 years or so; I might as well do something a little out of the ordinary.
So now that I have my own personal tiny little space in the galaxy , I can tell you absolutely nothing that you would possibly care to know and be of absolutely no useful value whatsoever. My goal here is to occupy my space . I will make no pretentions about any desires to write any guide entries and earn fame and respect. I have neither the talent nor the time. At best I can merely throw in my two cents from time to time, which is really a bit more than it is worth.
But my space is my own. I do have my own pink towel I try to carry with me at all times, although in tends to disappear from me at the most inappropriate moments when I need it most.
So that's all I have to say for now. Yes, I realize I have told you practically nothing at all. Trust me, you're not missing much.

less than an hour ago ago my oldest child, my only daughter, left for her senior prom. She left not as a child, but as a beautiful young woman. In a few weeks she will be graduating from High School. After living with her father for seven months, she recently came back to live with me, a situation I won't go into here. I am so very grateful for these precious last few weeks of her "childhood" spent with me as these days dwindle by; a mere month after her graduation she will be leaving for training in the Air Force Reserve.
This freedom we enjoy and take so much for granted isn't free; someone has to foot the bill, be it with their money or their time. And so her time it is. MY child. No, God, don't take MY child. But SOMEbody's child has to go. Somebody has to take the responsibility.
Lord, I know You only gave her to me to raise; not to keep. Now I must turn her back over to You and only pray that I have done my best, and leave the rest up to You.
Watch over her tonight and in the days ahead, weeks ahead, years ahead. I can no longer keep her safe. Only You can.
