I am not so new to e-mails now, or being a Granny (fourteen years this January 2013!), or working computers, but I still don't get out a lot. Have been dragged, kicking and screaming into this form of communication by persistent ex-husband and two grown-up daughters - but they were right, though, I thoroughly enjoy it.
I am a sixty-something, living in England. I make plaster-cast models of virtually anything, I have an everlasting passion for steam trains, would love to drive an 18-wheeler truck but am now judged too old to learn <steam>, and love my four grandchildren to bits.
But although I am a granny, and my knees have decided to retire ahead of me, I strongly believe in looking upwards and outwards and always with hope. I have an open and un-hectic mind about a wide variety of subjects. Try me, I might just surprise you!<smiley>

A year since I have added to my journal! My friends, this has been a year of deaths - eight in all, and I have had nothing cheerful to write about, so I have kept my silence, but I have been here with you occasionally, lurking and keeping up to date with things.
I hope 2007 is going to be a better year, more cheerful, more positive. Unfortunately, it already has a minus point - I was due to retire in February, but debt constraints dictate that I should continue working, at least another 2 years, maybe more!
I wish you all a very Happy Christmas, and a Peaceful New Year. I will be back..... but I'm not sure when.

It's getting a bit creepy here. Where are all my old friends? I have made many new ones, but Evadne? daraline? Lady Neugen? McOggie? Mystrunner? Shea? Shhhhhh? Spike? Tefkat? Smudger? and many more. I have checked their spaces and, with the exception of a brief appearance from Shea, none of them have posted since at least last October, some of them for more than a year. Where are you all?
