| | "Me" : A play by Fate | |
Prelude My name is Tom, though most who know me round these parts call me TK, and I was born (as my mother hastens to point out on any occasion, and goes on to discuss the scarring involved...) with a very large head on the tenth day of the tenth month in the year 1982 to two parents- one male (my father); the other female (my mother).
"postalindex" - Existential Elevator
The Main Anachronism Music Displaced in time from my peers, my musical interests lie with groups which play their own instruments, rely on talent, inventiveness and ingenuity rather than shouting lots and turning the bass up. To name a few bands/ artists which hold my fascination song after song, we have Queen in the top slot, followed by (in no particular order and by no means limited to) Jeff Buckley, Led Zeppelin, T Rex, the Rolling Stones, Mott the Hoople and Jimi Hendrix. My entire spectrum of musical influences would not fit down here, or you'd at least get bored before reaching the end, but it would include many diverse examples from areas of music such as Glam, Rock and Roll, New Romanticism, 80's Cheese and the Blues amongst many others... I play guitar, and I'm attempting to learn to play the harmonica and mandolin. Literature It's difficult to pin down my literary interests, so varied are they, but the voyages into the world of science fiction seem to be more prominent than any others. Supplying the vessels for these voyages are artists such as Arthur C. Clarke, Stephen Baxter and of course the late, great Douglas Adams. Authors which excite my interest in other areas of fiction include Bernard Cornwell and Oscar Wilde, and I have an long mental list of classics I feel I should indulge in, including the works of Dickens, Tolstoy and Dante. It's also worth mentioning that I enjoy to almost disturbing levels the books based on the Magic Roundabout. Now I really don't know what to put. Any suggestions?

Long time... etc Feb 2, 2007
It's been ages since I post anything here, or even really looked at the entries.
A lot of things have changed since I last posted here properly... I just don't hang around here much any more. I just popped in to say there are a few people on my list who I miss in a funny way, even though I never really knew any of you properly (bar one, who'll always be special).
So, anyway, I'm posting because I have a few minutes away from the daily grind for once! Anyone who reads this and thinks that they might like to get in touch, please do. I won't post much on here because I'm not really into that much more. But it'd be nice to re-spark an email correspondence or two.
Nanu, nanu.

Absence might make the heart grow fonder Mar 19, 2006
Or is it out of sight, out of mind, I wonder?
I haven't been around for a while, I know. It's not for any particular reason; I've just drifted away from the site.
So this is just to let you know that, if you feel the need, probably the easiest way to contact me, or just find out what I'm up to, is via my livejournal (dandymagrathean).
I hope everyone's having a great time with whatever they're doing
