| | Who is Cestus? | |
I am an IT professional in Britain and I have discovered this site entirely by accident. It seems elegantly suited to my personal behaviour since I seem to spend a vast amount of time reading and researching all sorts of things for my own pleasure. My range of interests includes, but is not limited to: - Military History
- Palaeontology
- Cryptology
- Antarctic Exploration
- Science (esp. evolutionary biology)
On the subject of cryptology, check out my cryptology project at the Uni

Amazingly my second entry has just been recommended, two out of two is rather a nice feeling.
My astronomy piece was accepted with ease, so obviously I didn't mess up too much......
And my UOL project has been accepted.
Things are going rather well at present
I'm off work all next week on holiday and Henman is a set to the good, rain stopped us looking too bad in the first Ashes test and we ruled in the first Lions outing. Life is good.

My pet project Jun 21, 2001
I've just proposed a UOL project, based on some work I did a while ago. With luck it will be accepted but you never know. Now where did I leave that sub-editor?..........

Wheeeee...... Jun 15, 2001
My first article has just been Scouted. Very excited now.
Must start work on the next, an interesting discussion popped up in the 'Jets and Rockets' conversation, maybe I'll do something on types of explosive warhead......

Nervous now.... Jun 7, 2001
My first University of Life entry now exists, it's on astronomy and I'm not an astronomer so I'm quivering with fear waiting for the brickbats.

Research May 28, 2001
I have found myself volunteering to provide an article for a current University project here, I've begun research with high hopes so we'll see how it goes.
It offers a welcome break from working towards my MCSE update - I never thought I'd still be taking exams at 29!
I'm going to have a crack at another article after that, from what I read it can take a while to get a piece into the edited guide so I guess I'll have to keep putting them up as fast as I can.
I feel the need to do a biography of Shackleton, loads more palaeontology stuff and some military things.
Maybe some IT stuff could be useful, after all I do it every day.
