My name is Deepak Ramachandran. I'm 21 years old and I'm from India. Right now I'm a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I do research in the area of Artificial Intelligence with a focus on developing logical theories that model human reasoning. AI is a discipline that in the past seemed to never deliver on it's grand promise of building thinking machines. But now with some exciting new techniques developed in the last decade a revival of sorts is taking place and we might one day be very close to our goal of human-level AI.
When I'm not tinkering with computers, I'm usually reading a book (mostly sci-fi) or playing computer games ( mostly rpg's ). What else? oh yes, I speak Quenya, the language of the High-elven.
As you can see I'm your classic well-rounded geek.
