Introduction

*sigh* Its all awfully grown up and professional isn't it? Is not me really. I am but a simple wench who professes undying love for longhaired men in leather and chainmail and has an overactive imagination... however I shall now turn all professional and burble about me...

eldelphia is me - an avid roleplayer (see U35496's entry A134795 for more) including Live Roleplay (see my entry A737831) based in the UK. For those of you who have seen the adverts for a certain soft cheese, the name was devised for a half elven animist character, who wanted to be Elrond but wasn't quite bright enough

I'm really interested in talking to peeps who have written or are writing entries on roleplaying and re-enactment. I'm into computer gaming too... oh yay I am a muppet

I am a qualified Librarian & Information officer (Eek!), with a BA(Hons) from Southampton and an MA from UCL. I've been Live roleplaying within the LT system for over four years and have done quite a bit of tabletop and other LRP before that.

Learning to drive

Help! I could really do with some advice from those of you who have gone through the whole learning to drive thing recently - and those of you who might have more experience than me at solving driving issues!

I'm learning to drive and am doing reasonably well but I'm stuck at the moment. I can do my manouevres etc but my instructor feels that I am a bit hesitant or am 'stalling' a bit. Nothing I do is exactly wrong but I am obviously not quite on the same wave length as the more experienced drivers behind me. Its being aware of those behind me in more than a 'don't slam your breaks on way'. I indicate well etc but I seem to be slow off the mark.

Anyone got any hints and tips or had any similar problems?

Making a Corset

For those of you that know about these things I'm making up the Laughing Moon pattern. I'm on my third mockup and I finally think I've got it right. I'm obviously a weird shape

Things you need - a lot of pins and a calm head!
