Hello all. My real name is Chris and I've been with Sam on the h2g2 editorial team as a co-editor, confidante and general right-hand batman since the start of November 2009.

Like many people, for a long time I'd admired h2g2 from afar, reading and enjoying Entries and even taking a peek at conversation threads but never taking the plunge and registering a profile.

Now I've realised what I've been missing all these years. Like a warm bath for a weary and befuddled mind, I'm just starting to appreciate what a nice place the h2g2 community is to be. And unlike a warm bath, I know I can while away the hours, wallowing away, without fear of extreme wrinkliness or catching cold.

You've proved to me that you are the brightest, friendliest and generally downright loveliest bunch to be found online. And I feel like I'm starting to get to know you. I'm yet to discover whether it's true that you are all terrific dancers, but I'm sure I'll find out.

Some things about myself that are still true: I can't click my fingers, cross my eyes or wink. I am, however, a mean parallel parker. It's funny how life compensates.

I'm sticking with Zelmo Zale as my nickname, despite my sign-off initials still looking like I've fallen asleep as soon as I've finished writing my posts.

Currently, my favourite Beatles song is 'Something'.

My current favourite Beatles album is Rubber Soul.
