i got a car.
it went so smooth (though not fast, lots of waiting in the dealership) that i can't even claim too many points for it. partly, it's because kish is a free trade zone with a lot less regulations. so it is a practically new but second hand korean car, bigger and lower than i wanted, but it is my very first car. (i'm not counting the rusted metal heap dad bought from a friend and put in my name. nope nope nope). driving was scary though.
we're getting tested for wiimax conection tomorrow. let's see what happens.

mostly lazy day

kish is supposed to have heavy but very short rainshowers - about 15 to 30 mnutes. so why did it rain for 9 HOURS straight?
at least we found about the leak in the main bath...
again me sorting stuff that had been just stuffed into the wardrobes and drawers, mom sewing curtains, the electritian/maintenance guy NOT showing up because (we found out in the afternoon) he'd been up until o'dark in the morning to fix the neighbours sewer pipe. another shopping trip with a couple of nice bargain and MORE shoes for mom.
some work and more lazing around, dracula: dead and loving it for dinner. in memoriam, leslie nielsen. i still can't believe he died.
money came finally through to my account here to buy a car, and i'm actually SCARED. i mean, after the year i had buying a house is like, so we need this, the contract is like that payment is like that nice meeting you. but a car? i know NOTHING about cars, i even stopped driving after my wrist broke, and the contact i'd relyed upon to help me is out of town. HELP!

headache: -2 - no pills during the day
mood: 7
sleep: 5 + 1, because the thunder woke me up at 3 and at 4 mom decided to cheeck the entire house
sport: 3 for mall walking (yes, i'm pathetic. but my leg muscles do hurt)
errands and chores: 5? it's a bit hard to judge

Lots of cleaning and arranging and supervising, and even managed to get a massage inbetween. of course that was early in the afternoon, so i need one again:

overall health: 8 - i'm keeping it here because i know i have been better. also: backache
headache: -3 needed a painkiller mid-day
mood: 7 some small and medium frustration, mostly because of the dial-up
sport: 0
sleep: 6? we both started reading and then it was midnight, also weird dreams. really weird
errands and chores: 15

Houston, we have the meaning of life

biiig shopping expedition with mom - material for curtains, bedcoveers and furniture covers for mom to make, hardware, plastic stuff, new bed for mom, lamp for mom's room, groceries, then again off in the afternoon. mom after a lifetime of hoarding and being economic, is finally getting used to coddle herself and bought various cremes, including one made of snake poison enzymes, which makes for much hilarity since "snake poison" is considered a cuss word in farsi <giggle>

headache: -2
mood: 7 ... if i wasn't so tired, i would be giddy. I love it here <sniff>
sport: 0 (not including mmall waling, dragging bags and climbing stairs
sleep: a full 7 + 2 .....
accomplishments: lets take 20, arguing successfully witth mom included.

the wimax does not get connection in kish.... back to dial up on the dinosour again

so we're in Kish, and even celebrated first of advent before unpacking.

it's warmer than tehran, although it gets coll in the evening.

mood: 6 (it would have been better if the wimax functioned)
sport: 0
sleep: 5 (didn't fall asleep because i was shivering until i got up and got another cover.) (dreamt of a mixture of reign and fire and war of the worlds though - very nice action!)
accomplishments: 5 for not jumping mom for jumping me + 10 for the trip
