Wowbagger

Hello.

I began here many, many, many, many years ago. I stopped and lost my way. I was over here for a while and now, thanks to the wonderful work of Pastey and co. find myself back here again as good old 33922.

I hope everyone's well.

Stumbling in (life so far)
Oct 24, 2006

Hi. Saw the lights on and thought I'd pop in.

That's not entirely true.

I haven't visited h2g2 for quite some time and suddenly, for no apparent reason, I find myself back here. I really have no idea what made me think of revisiting (please don't interpret that as I don't like this place - love it - lots of good memories and friends come from here). Here I am though.

To explain my absense: It seemed okay to juggle everything in the past when it was just myself, the bride, the boy (now 5 1/2) and the cat, but when our brood increased by one (a lovely lad - at the time of writing this he's 20 months old) a little spring cleaning/reorganising of our lives was needed. Visiting h2g2 regularly was one of them. Unfortunately 'regularly' eventually turned into 'at all' and I disappeared - from here anyway.

I'm back to see how old friends are going (if they're still here) and to sight-see a bit. Time is still limited, so no cartoons I'm afraid.

Life is good. Hope you're all doing well.

cheers
Wowbagger

Family Update
Sep 5, 2001

For those people curious about such things...

My lovely wife is fine - 5 weeks and she's back to work and I work from home!!! Shall be interesting to see how that works out. I'm looking forward to it. The bride is certainly chomping at the bit - desperate to get back out and about!

The boy is now 5 months old - can you believe it!?! He's onto solids a bit now - has a bottle most of the time and eats all manner of things - rice cereal, pumpkin, apple and stuff - doesn't like peas at all. And speaking of solids, that's the best way to describe him - solid in a rugby league front row forward sort of way, rather than solid in a little Buddha way. Don't mention football though - his mother says he will never play it (though I did put a good argument in for soccer - I think). As for milestones - his first tooth appeared yesterday!!! I think the bride's going to stop feeding him soon - funny that.

As for me I'm still working at a place called Liquid Animation, though at the moment production has stopped on the kid's health site I'm working on. At the moment we're animating 4 episodes of a new TV series for Disney called 'The Proud Family'. Best way to describe it is a combination of 'The Cosby Show' and 'The Simpsons' (though kid friendly enough to be on Disney of course). I'm part of the Layout/Background Design department, which means I have a pencil in my hand all day rather than have a computer in front of me, which is a very nice change indeed.

I can't put up any links but dot com at the end of liquid animation or youthealth and you'll get there all right LOL winkeye For info on The Proud Family go to the official Disney site.

cheers

Wowbagger's DNA Wake
May 13, 2001

Now I'm sure there will be a lot of tributes to DNA, having already said a few words in some. But, for what it's worth, a wake should be organised. I looked around but couldn't find any.

So I guess I could have a go.

ale

This forum can be a place where the odd stiffdrink ale stout bubbly can be drunk and amusing tales can be told, all in the name of one of the best.

Cheers DNA
