  | | your right chisrtanity did start during the times of the romans! but the Romans did not make God up! and there is prove that Jesus did exsist at tha time as well.
and aslo God helped me during a bad time but how mauch people say to me that you brought your self out fo the bad times but the truht is that it was God! mand i do need to beileve in god becuase he is almighty and that is my choice to beileve in him becuase of my expiranaces with God and the fiath i have in him. yeah bad times will come but i know everyhitng to going to be hunky doorey becuase I have god! so for example, my dad was made redunant (lost his job to fault what was not he own) and we were close to losing the house and we had already made plans to stay over friends form church homes, during this hard time we noticed the love god gave to many poeple to help us. dad got a job ina chirstan charity and we stil live in our house, were suffering form the cerdit curch we keeping pray and keep readign the bible and god has blessed us! I'm writing this message form my new laptop becuase I share a laptop with my sister and it broke with all our work on! we were gutted! i prayed about and the home insurance gave us money to get a new laptop and my dad was able to fixed our old laptop for long enough to get all our work form it! God has bless me and my only want os to let the rest of the world to to expirance what i have with god! he is graouis god and i love him to bits...I only want all of you to expirance the holy spirit because it's truley amazing.

I don't know where you did your research but many societies untouched by Roman influence have or had gods, including several pre-Roman societies. Wherever this deep-seated need for belief comes from (and even if it *had* started with the Romans it's hung around pretty long for a passing fad!) it's certainly not from aping the fashions of Roman society.
For the record I don't believe there is an interventionist deity out there although I don't entirely reject the notion of some form of higher power.

no! god is outside time! he is above us all, he is looking down on us.

huha! he can break the laws of physics he can do anything! thier is nothing he cannot do! isn;t what wonderful.
It's funny though! you need evidence that Jesus exsist and i have provided lots and stilll you don;t understand. There arte poeple in the wrold that only need to see the world around them to beileve that thier is a god.
I remeber watching this docamtary about a tribal commuinty and they visited them and they saw them pray and worship. the host of the progamme stated that these people had never had commuinations with the outside world and asked who or what were they wroshipping, they said Ocean! God reached them though thier suuroundings, they told the hosts many ting that had happened by the Ocean Spirit! I knew it was God becuase of all the things they were saying and doing, they are the most holy people i have ever seen, you see God in them!
my pointis that they just needed to see the world around them and you need 50 feet of evidence for a point that you know many poeple know to be ture so you can just understand let only beileve that he is almigthy!
so I'll ask again!
why do you need piles upon piles of evidence to beileve in somthing so simple????

There is, by the way, a difference between the questions "Is there a God?" and "Did Jesus exist?", so please don't pretend that it's the same.
I don't need evidence for the existence of God. There is no evidence, so it's obsolete.
But why do you need a reason for the existence of the universe? Isn't it enough that it's there? Why does there have to be a meaning for anything?
